Here at EJ we recently helped Willmott Dixon launch their brand new offices with a canapé & drinks reception. The guests invited were VIP including staff, clients and consultants.
Upon receiving the enquiry the office team at EJ helped the organiser visualise how the event would run, planned the itinerary, and most importantly discussed foodie ideas! Over the weeks running up to an event we keep in touch with the organiser and have a final meeting two weeks before; this helps both us and the organiser iron out any potential challenges and in this case resulted in the addition of a birthday cake. The team at Willmott Dixon wanted to surprise their Managing Director. Our talented chef made a beautiful chocolate fudge cake complete with a mirror glaze!
On the day of the event we provided an array of mouth watering canapés which included:
- Mini Welsh beef burgers with red pepper relish and a homemade sesame seed bun
- Roasted duck, scallion and fresh plum rolls
- Thai fish cake with a lime and lemongrass dip
- Abergavenny home smoked salmon with lemon, parsley and black pepper butter
- Almond, brie and pear money bags
- Marinated courgette with lemon thyme and sundried tomato skewer
- Mini scones with cream and jam
As a freelance catering company, we took everything we needed to the venue including an oven, table linen, glassware and lots and lots of beverage! Our chef arrived on site at 2.30pm with a team of front of house staff ready to set up, guests arrived from 4pm and service began, the event finished at 7pm. Once the guests had departed we were hard at work to tidy up and return the offices back to their usual set up. We took everything off site and returned back to our kitchens. We can cater at almost any venue, and often transform cupboards into kitchens!
