Thanking the Volunteers at Glenwood Church

Thanking the Volunteers at Glenwood Church

Here at EJ we’re always busy and Autumn is no exception! Despite the nights drawing in and the weather becoming that little bit crisper, we’ve already managed to cater VIP style at the Cardiff Half Marathon, serve up wedding spreads at St Tewdricks & Pencoed House, and host a corporate bash at the Royal Mint experience.

One of our most favourite events, however, has to be our recent event at Glenwood Church – providing food to a hall full of volunteers who have put their precious time aside to help others.

This was now our turn to treat them! And my goodness did we go to town…

Home made butternut squash soup with a Parmesan twist

Baskets of warm bread

Main course

Free range chicken stacks with spinach and feta, creamy veloute sauce

(v) Goats cheese and strudel with roasted walnut

Crispy golden Roast potatoes & a mix of buttered local veg

Dessert  – trio of dessert

White chocolate cheese cake with honey combe and toffee sauce

Dark chocolate mousse gateau, hot chic sauce

Little Lemon tart, wilted  raspberry

We even had a lovely note from one of the volunteers at Glenwood Church to thank us for our service. It’s testimonials like this that make what we do really worthwhile!

“Just to say a HUGE THANK YOU to Kate and her team from EJ!! It was a fabulous meal and all very well presented and efficiently done. Everyone has been saying how much they enjoyed it and how good the food was.

“We found you great to deal with, very amenable to our needs and requirements and flexible in terms of us providing the canapes and alcohol etc.” – Veronica Haskell, Admin Team Volunteer.
