Duquesa de Valladolid Verdejo                       Spain            £8.50

A principle wine to be drunk with white fish.

Straw brilliant colour. Intense aromas of fresh herbs, hay, anise, tropical fruits and mineral notes. Powerful and tasty on the mouth, with a long lingering palate appearing again all the notes from the Verdejo variety.

On the nose this wine has pear drop notes followed by delicious soft flavours of melons and apples

Saint Chinian Blanc Petit Paradis                     France         £9.50

Another admiral wine for white meats & subtle enough for canapés

A blend of Marsanne, Grenache and Vermentino which has had some partial barrel fermentation. The nose is complex with notes of quince, almond and spice. The palate is fairly full bodied with touches of citrus zest and a waxy texture. It still remains fresh on the finish even with the weight of the wine a beautifully made and balanced wine.

Pale gold with a youthful green tinge. Attractive pineapple, lemon and lime fruit on both the nose and palate with a lively balancing acidity leaving a fresh finish.

Allan Scott Estate Riesling            N Zealand £11.50

A personal favourite white bold enough for red meats and eastern flavours

Showing lemon and orange citrus tones and a distinct tropical pineapple aroma, there are also hints of orange blossom, white stone fruit and spice characters. Continuing through to the palate these flavours and the spice complexities result in a mouth watering wine with great length.

Bright amber gold colour with copper tints. Fresh raisin fruit backed by  hint of fortifying spirit and aged oak characters. Luscious mouth filling raisin fruit followed by cleansing spirit on the back palate
