This wonderfully easy pretzel bark recipe makes the ideal treat for the pocket of any Sunday walker at this time of year!
This is a winter sweet treat building on a classic pretzel recipe that personally I will keep eating until weill into the New Year. It also makes for a great presents, what better way to treat your teacher or friend than with a box full of these homemade goodies.
Pretzel Bark Ingredients
- 4oz – Butter
- 4oz – Light brown sugar
- 8oz – Pretzels
- 8oz – Dark chocolate
- Halon mal Sea salt
Line a baking tray with tin foil and lightly oil. Open and tip the pretzels all over the foil.
In a heavy based pan melt the butter and sugar together, it will take a few minutes and should be done slowly, once the sugar has melted, allow the mixture to caramelise and begin to turn brown. Pour this over the pretzel and bake in the oven for 5 mins
Melt the chocolate in a bowl over hot water and once melted pour over the caramel, spread with a pallet knife & sprinkle with Halen Mon rock salt. Once the chocolate has cooled and set, it’s time to grab a rolling pin and smash it!!
