Savoury Dishes

Savoury dishes to pre order and take away.  We can cook it in your own dish and even tell you how you cooked it!  To keep the quality of all these dishes as high as possible we make and bake them fresh to order.  Please give us 36 – 48 hours notice.  If you don’t see your favourite savoury dish here just ask, we can make anything you fancy!  There is no VAT charge  on collections. 
 

Welsh Lamb

Welsh lamb tagine braised in cumin, cinnamon, garlic with plump prunes

Classic Beef Bourguignon with French shallots and sautéed button mushrooms
Welsh beef slowly cooked with Welsh SA and flat field mushrooms
Braised Welsh beef with kidney & roasted sweet red peppers in a dark jus
Deep Red Chilli blended with fresh roasted and crushed spices, slowly oven cooked
Traditional beef lasagna and (less traditional but equally delicious) chicken and pesto lasagna both with fresh pasta, creamy béchamel and a double cheese topping

Free range Pork
Welsh pork tenderloin in mustard and mushroom sauce and cherry brandy cream

Local free range pork shoulder, chorizo and mixed bean cassoulet
Pot roasted belly pork with an orange, honey, clove and cardamom sticky glaze

Free range chicken breast with fresh orange and whole grain mustard cream (Winners – True Taste Awards 08/09)
Free range chicken thigh & chorizo ragù with red peppers and smoked paprika
Coq au Vin with French shallots and sautéed button mushrooms
Free range chicken and chestnut mushrooms in a brandy and peppercorn sauce
Sautéed free range chicken breast and king prawns in a spicy coconut and lime sauce
Free range chicken and shitake mushrooms in a spicy paprika red wine sauce
Thai green free range chicken curry
Free range chicken breast with a three cheese stuffing wrapped in Parma ham (very 70’s but also very tasty!)
Free range chicken, shallot and button mushroom pie in Gwynt y Ddraig cider

Vegetarian Tagine – Chick pea and winter roots braised with cinnamon, cumin seed, garlic apricots and prunes
Spinach and ricotta cannelloni with grilled red peppers
Leek and lentil strudel with a white sauce
Butternut squash and spinach in a spicy coconut and lime sauce
Baked field mushroom filled with spinach, walnut and Caws Cenarth
Goat’s cheese and caramelised red onion filo tart
Roasted root vegetable in a rich red wine and sweet tomato coulis
Butter bean and butter nut pie in Gwynt y Ddraig cider

Fish
Seared salmon and tiger prawns in a spicy tomato sauce
Fish pie – Smoked haddock, salmon, spinach, egg and pea with a creamy mashed top
Monkfish wrapped in Carmarthen ham with a mushroom cream sauce
Homemade fishcakes loaded with fresh herbs and served with red pepper relish
Paupiettes of lemon sole with a fresh crab and creamed spinach sauce

There is no VAT charge  if the customer collects and returns.
Delivery or collection – £10.00 within Cardiff.  VAT  is charged if delivered.


Some dishes require crockery, ie the pies and lasagne, we are able to provide these on deposit or please bring in your own
Fill the freezer – 10 % if you order 3 x 3 dishes = 9 frozen meals
