To keep the quality of all these desserts as high as possible we make and bake them fresh to order.  Please give us 36 – 48 hours notice.  If you don’t see your favourite dessert here just ask, we can make anything googie and decadent!  There is no VAT charge  on collections.

Ready to Go Canapés – Take Away Menu

Please choose your favourite canapés to take away. If you do not wish to assemble them yourself, we will advise you which would be the best to order in advance and we will plate them at the shop ready for collection. If we deliver and collect, we would spend half an hour plating canapés of your choice and then leave you to it!

  • Marinated mozzarella, ripped basil and cherry tomato skewers
  • Leek, chive and goat’s cheese roulade
  • Abergavenny home smoked salmon with lemon, parsley and black pepper butter
  • Home cured gravad lax with sweet mustard and dill dressing on long skewers
  • Quail eggs with celery salt and chopped chives
  • A selection of home rolled sushi filled with, crab, cucumber, chilled omelette, mango and shredded spring onion with Vietnamese fish dipping sauce

Dippers

  • Chicken liver and brandy pâté on peppered crostini
  • Caramelised onion hummus with tall tortilla
  • Ej marinated olives

Fill Your Own

  • Roasted duck, scallion and fresh plum filo tartlets
  • Filo baskets filled with hoards of prawns in a lemon and chive mayonnaise
  • Spicy roasted vegetables tossed in Parmesan in a perfect flower shortbread cup

Quick Assemble

  • Marinated feta and olives on a crunchy crostini
  • Black beef with horseradish cream on whole grain crostini
  • Welsh peppered mackerel mousse with watercress on tiny homemade digestive biscuits

Bob in the Oven

  • Tiny Welsh rarebit toasts with roasted pumpkinseed

Welsh Lamb

Welsh lamb tagine braised in cumin, cinnamon, garlic with plump prunes
Braised Welsh lamb with a ratatouille of vegetables (Winners – True Taste Awards 08/09)
Navarin of lamb ‘printanière’ (literally translates as Welsh lamb casserole with spring vegetables)

Classic Beef Bourguignon with French shallots and sautéed button mushrooms
Welsh beef slowly cooked with Welsh SA and flat field mushrooms
Braised Welsh beef with kidney & roasted sweet red peppers in a dark jus
Deep Red Chilli blended with fresh roasted and crushed spices, slowly oven cooked
Traditional beef lasagna and (less traditional but equally delicious) chicken and pesto lasagna both with fresh pasta, creamy béchamel and a double cheese topping

Welsh pork tenderloin in mustard and mushroom sauce and cherry brandy cream
