Cheese Wedding Cake

ej-cheese-cakeFor those of you with a savoury tooth, why not consider an alternative wedding cake made entirely of cheese.  Your wedding cake will be garnished appropriately to suit your theme and for ‘cutting the cake’ photographs.  It will then be taken away and prepared by chef for serving instead of wedding cake.  It can also break down into a an evening buffet.  Served with homemade chutney, celery sticks, cherry tomatoes, homemade biscuits and baskets of warm baguettes.

Welsh Cheese- 5 Tier Cake
Farmhouse Llangofflan Red – A traditional full fat hard cheese.  Coloured with natural annotto for a sublime colour and flavour
Perl Las – A truly different blue cheese, light and  delicate in texture with a depth of flavour
Perl Wen – A mould ripened semi soft creamy cheese combing both Brie and Caerphilly characteristics
Blaenafon Cheddar – Sealed in a black wax and matured at the bottom of an old pit mineshaft, this cheddar has a typically strong and nutty flavour
Smoked Pont Gar – Traditionally cold smoked using oak chips gathered from the hedgerow

Welsh Farmhouse Llangofflan – A firm and smooth cheese yet slightly crumbly with a robust creamy citrus  flavouring
Cornish Yarg – Traditionally hand wrapped in nettle leaves this distinctive cheese has a nutty flavour and a texture similar to a Caerphilly
French Vignotte – A triple cream French cheese with a powdery ripe bloom and a mold skin.  A strong yet delicate flavour
Welsh Blaenafon Cheddar – Sealed in a black wax and matured at the bottom of an old pit mineshaft, this cheddar has a typically strong and nutty flavour
